With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Lee Powell of Berea, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Chowning Powell; his son James "Jimmy" Vaughn, Jr.; his son-in-law Robbie Todd; and his siblings, Dianne Embry, Deborah Abney and Earl Powell.
He is survived by: his brother Jake Powell (Melody) of Berea; his children, Miranda "Mandie" Gay (Justin), Candace Todd Schneider (John) and Cameron Vaughn (Nikki) of Berea; his grandchildren, Ethan Richmond (Savannah), Andrew Richmond, Rylan "Raylan" Gay, Hadlee Todd, Hudson Todd, Ella Vaughn, Raegan Vaughn and James Vaughn; and his great grandchildren, Everleigh and Emmylou Richmond. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
