He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Higgins and Bonnie Lindon Higgins; and his siblings, Seldon, Ishmael, Lindon, Byron, Ray, Melvin, Joe, John David, Chandler Higgins, Fannye Bowman, Thelma Powers and Dorothy Enfield.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores J. Higgins; his children, Terri Lynn Vaught (Stan) of Murfreesboro and Paul Higgins of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.; his brother Julian Higgins of Shalimar; and his grandchildren, Jackson Vaught and Chandler Vaught.
