He was predeceased by: his parents, Hargus Watson and Betty Embry Moore; his wife Mary Patricia Watson; and his siblings, Harold Watson, Eugene Watson, Douglas Watson and Lois Travelsted.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Powell of Richmond; his grandson Robert Steven Powell (Bernice McCoy) of Richmond; and his nieces, Rita Wiley of Indianapolis, IN and Sandra Madden of Yadkinville, NC..
