He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Deatherage and Patricia Louise Johnson; his wife Darlene Deatherage; and his brother Eddie Wayne Deatherage (Sharon). He is survived by: his son Ricky Jud Kirby; his stepdaughter Dianah V. King; his sister Terry Rader; and his granddaughter Alexis King.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home (203 N Dogwood Dr, Berea, KY 40403). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
