He is survived by : his wife Paula Davis Kersey; his children, Joseph Kersey of Richmond, Maria Owens (Cody) of Berea, James Kersey of Crab Orchard, Sarah Kersey of Mt. Vernon and Rebekah Kersey of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Lilah Owens and Cora Owens of Berea; and his aunts and uncles, Sanford Grant of Gastonia, NC, Jerry Grant of Gastonia, NC, Beulah Riddle of Gastonia, NC, Rose Brown (Eddie) of Randleman, NC and Marie Whitfield (Raymond) of Marion, NC. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
