He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Virginia Tyree Gregory and Robert Stanifer; his stepfather Chester Gregory; and his brothers, Jerry Stanifer and Robert Nelson Stanifer.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Alexander Stanifer; his children, Janenne Stanifer Abney (Brian), Kenneth Jason Stanifer (Tonya) and Kena Janay Stanifer Harper (Walter); his grandchildren, Whitley Jade Kaylor Wilson (Kenneth), Mary Jordan Marshall (Zachery), Carson Riley Stanifer and Landon Jacob Abney; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Ryder Wilson, Kason Jacob Wilson, Wyatt Cole Marshall and Evelyn Blake Marshall; his niece Terry Stanifer Ray (Harold); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chandler and Gavin Ray. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
