He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Damrell and Martha Childress; his son Kevin Damrell; and his sister Gloria Lyons. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Damrell; his children, Joey Damrell (Chasity), Tim Damrell, Matthew Damrell (Connie), Sandy Damrell (David) and Abby Damrell (Aaron); his daughter-in-law Aundrea Damrell; his siblings, Wanda Harold of Berea, Kentucky and Marshall Damrell (Karen) of Berea, Kentucky; his brother-in-law Mike Lyons of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Danielle Jones (Chris), Skylar Damrell (Kaylee), Adrianna Barnett (Harold), Chris Dezern, Jayden Beagle, Felicia Watson (JD), Johnathan Sturgill (Makayla), Candace Gaines (Andrew), Zach Damrell (Sierra), Nicole Dooley (Clay), Megan Walker (Cody), Alex Damrell (Melissa), Jordan Smith, Shaden Wilson, Bailey Rhodes, Bretley Rhodes, Sierra Osborne (Brandon), Makaylah Lear (AJ) and Makennah Beagle. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home (616 Chestnut St, Berea, KY 40403). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Davis & Powell Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
