She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Regans Farris Harris (Jennings) and Edward Farris; her husband Edgar "Chuck" Shearer; her son William "Bae" Shearer; her brothers, Morris "Sonny" Farris, Archie Farris and David Harris; her aunt Pauline "Norn" Banther; and her nephew Morris "Pete" Farris.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Brown (Robert), Regans Jo-Carol Shearer, Edgar Shearer III and Samuel Shearer; her stepchildren, Brenda Covington (Floyd) and Don Shearer (Brenda); her grandchildren, LaDonda Porter (Tadd), Tawana Brown, Telecia Coleman (Michael), Victoria Shearer, Patricia Shearer, Whitney Schuster, Alexus Henderson, Leah Freeman, Robert Brown III and Brenton Covington; her great grandchildren, Shemsa Brown, Isabelle Brown, Makiyah Coleman, William Cloyd and Christian Cloyd; her siblings, Nancy "Cissy" Harris, Johnny Harris (Marva), Mendell Harris and Jennings "Budgie" Harris; her godsons, Aaron Banther (Jamie) and Jonathan Mayberry; and her siblings' children, Thornton Marie "Prucy" Warford, Jennifer Mitchell (Ozon), Yvonne Cantrell (Derrick), Edward Farris and Johnny Harris Jr.. She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
