He is survived by: his wife Heather Thorpe Pennington of Berea; his parents, Ronnie "Butch" Pennington and Cindy Farmer Pennington of Richmond, Kentucky.; his sister Michelle Kilburn (Mark); his sibling's children, Kaitlyn, Dylan Kilburn and Tyler Kilburn (Sydney); his great-nephew Atlas Kilburn; his mother-in-law Betty Thorpe of Richmond; and his brothers-in-law, John Thorpe of Richmond and Jeff Thorpe of Georgetown.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kirksville Baptist Church (542 Kirksville Rd, Richmond, KY 40475).
