He was predeceased by: his sister Courtnay Spires; and his grandmother Margaret Oaks. He is survived by: his parents, Cecil Oaks and Cynthia Kay Williams Oaks of Berea, Kentucky; his siblings, Tim Oaks of Berea, Brook Jones of Owingsville and Amanda Caudill (Dalton) of Mons, Belgium; his nephews, Grayson Jones, Sky Caudill and Leo Caudill; and his grandparents, Cecil Eugene Oaks of Kingsport, Tennessee and Charlene Burby. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, fellow soldiers, and friends.
