It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vergil Allen Morton in Berea, Kentucky, born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Taylor and Margaret Dunn Morton; and his wife Doris Jean Shepherd Morton. He is survived by : his former life partner Joyce Harris Morton; his children, Pamela Carpenter (Steve), Debra Bowen (Phil), Richard Morton and Joy Coleman (Kenny); and his stepsons, Robert Tupman (Margie) and Ben Tupman.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lakes Funeral Home (203 N Dogwood Dr, Berea, KY 40403). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
