He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Ballinger and Dovie VanZant Ballinger; and his siblings, Harold Ballinger, Geneva Hedgepeth and Myrel Ballinger.
He is survived by : his wife Deloris VanWinkle Ballinger; his children, Dale Ballinger (Brenda), Hank Ballinger (Nancy), Pat Dean (Charlie) and Tonya Edwards (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Jessica Willis, Rachel Day, Sarah Anglin, Melinda Harris, Leah Lowe, Jared Blair, Paige Edwards and Kenton Edwards. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
