It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Sayers Sr. of Berry, Kentucky, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sayers and Alta McDermott Sayers; and his brothers, Charlie and Jack Sayers. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Rohm Sayers; his sons, Leonard John Sayers, Jr. of Berry, KY and Robert Scott Sayers (Karen) of Ontario, NY; his sister Nancy Sayers of Blackville, WV; his grandchildren, Kevin Andrew Sayers, Brittany Sara Jeanette Roberts, Benjamin Adam Sayers and Robert Scott Sayers, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Renee Beck, Leianna Beck, Patricia Star Beck, Dalton Beck and Belle Valentine Sayers. He is also survived by 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home (112 N Walnut St, Cynthiana, KY 41031). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ky Veterans Cemetery North (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
