It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Eugene Mudd of Big Clifty, Kentucky, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland H. Mudd and Lue Ella Sanders Mudd; his sister Laverne; and his nephew Christopher Nash. He is survived by: his wife Billie Mudd of Big Clifty; his children, Jodie Hester (Jeffrey) of Leitchfield and Bryan Mudd (Sabrina Hughes) of Big Clifty; his grandchildren, Brylee Hester (Luke Decker) of Leitchfield and Elli Hester of Alabama; his brother Donald Mudd (Martha); his aunt Laura V Mudd; and his sister-in-law Nowanda Mudd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42755). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
