Gordon leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Gordon’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Higdon and Nora Higdon; his brother-in-law Dale Vertrees; his nephew Darren Hodge; and his great-nephew Preston Highbaugh.
He is survived by: his siblings, Calvin Higdon, Marlene Vertrees, Ronda Murray (David), Carmielita Hodge (George), Regina Nance and Shelia Smith (Steve). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rogers Funeral Home (115 W Main St, Clarkson, KY 42726).
