She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurley Higdon and Juanita Johnston Higdon; her brothers, Darrell, Dale and Barry Higdon; her nephew Christian Higdon; and her nieces, Jenna Higdon and Mistie Brooks.
She is survived by: her daughter Sue Ellen Stanton (Jason Webb); and her siblings, Kerry Higdon (Patty), Neil Higdon, Timmy Higdon, Dennis Higdon (Cindy), Keith Higdon (Connie), Norris Higdon, Sharolyn Kipper and Joan Chaney (Jimmy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (306 Clifty Ave, Clarkson, KY 42726). A prayer will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul Catholic School in Myra’s memory.
