It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Higdon of Big Clifty, Kentucky, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Rose Thornsberry Higdon; his parents, Joseph Ray Higdon and Anna Mildred Casey Higdon; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Mudd and Omer Ray Higdon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Murray (Brendan) of Penrose, CO and Amber Mihm (Scott Sparks) of Big Clifty, KY; his grandchildren, Peyton Sparks, Kayson Sparks, Peyton "PeyPey" Smith and Kaeson "Archer" Murray; his nephews, Jeff Parker (BJ), Billy Joe Higdon, Dwayne Anderson (Amanda), Daniel Skaggs and Cory Skaggs (Emily); and his close friends, Kenny Winn and Teresa Skaggs.
