He was predeceased by: his father Frank "Sonny" King; and his brother Brian Atchison (Shirl). He is survived by: his mother Janice Sears King; his wife Sandra Townsley Thompson; his sons, Cody Thompson (Kara Beth) and Cory Thompson (Stephanie); his siblings, Chris King (Missy) and Lisa Hensley (Mike); his grandchildren, James Case, Miley Jo Thompson, Khilyn McKena, Kambdon Luke Thompson and Michael Thompson-Smith; his parents-in-law, Mary and Lonnie Townsley; his sister-in-law Londa Ledington; and his nieces, Kaylee Grace and Marlee Jenae Ledington.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beacon Baptist Church (190 Stephen Trace Road, Bimble, KY). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Betty Frost Cemetery.
