With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stewart Whitaker of Blackey, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon H. Whitaker and Lonnie Mae Richardson Whitaker; and his siblings, Edgar Whitaker, Virginia Caudill, Edna Caudill and Nona Roark.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Whitaker; his children, Greg Whitaker (Margaret) and Sandra Wright; his siblings, Larry Whitaker, Betty Ann Eldridge and Glenna Caudill; his grandchildren, Anthony Stewart Cowden (Shannon), Charles Wayne Cowden, Elizabeth Denise Brooke Dunn and Katie Diane Owens (James); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Asher, Spencer, Cassandra Mae, Alexis and Timmie.
