She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles T. Emerson and Alma Guttermuth Emerson; her daughter Maria "Reese" Gaw; her great grandchild Leland Richard Allen; her mother-in-law Edna Ray Cheek; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Cheek and Norma Emerson.
She is survived by : her husband Billy Cheek; her children, Sherry Henry (Charlie) of Bowling Green and Rob Gaw of Bloomfield; and her siblings, Bob Emerson (Sheila) of Louisville and Mary Morgan (Mike). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
