He is survived by: his wife Charlene Cooksey Barnes; his children, Lonnie Barnes (Kim) of Bloomfield, Emmalee Sharpe (Ernie) of Bloomfield, Sonia Lawson of Manchester, Ronald Hooper (Laura Harley) of Bloomfield, Shaunda Smith (Michael) of Wilmington, OH, Jay Barnes (Samantha) of Bloomfield, Josh Barnes of Bloomfield, Brandon Barnes (Paula) of Bloomfield and Jessica Barnes of Bloomfield; and his siblings, David Barnes (Carol) of Mt. Eden, Dustin Hawkins of California, Keith Hawkins of Shelbyville, Shannon Hawkins (Donny) of Frankfort and Susan Hawkins of Frankfort. He is also survived by twenty nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
