She was predeceased by: her parents, John Willie and Sarah Elizabeth Hahn Barnes; her husband Leon Cox; and her daughter Shelia Maxberry. She is survived by: her son Michael Hood (Stephenie) of Lawrenceburg; and her grandchildren, Leland Hood, Chasity Gates and Leslie Burkhead. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren along with one great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Houghlin Funeral Home (119 Fairfield Hill Rd, Bloomfield, KY 40008). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
