He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Young and Monjoy Nancy Young (Sandlin); and his brothers, Robert Young Jr., James Young and Richard Young.
He is survived by: his wife Joni Lee Young; his children, Alex Wayne Young (Cheyenne), Justin Robert Michael Young and Alyssa Whitlee Young (Scottie Smiddy); his siblings, Bobby Joe Young (Shirley), Lora Eversole (John), Bonnie Perry, Thelma Kennedy (Curtis), Stevie Young, Gary Lynn Young (Paula), Darlene Wilson (Charlie Turner), Rose Pierson (Shawn), Neal Young and David Garrison; and his grandchild Ivy Jean Smiddy. He is also survived by other loving family members & friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home (3450 KY-11, Booneville, KY 41314). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
