With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Gay of Booneville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Peggy Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Peggy Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Rice and Annie Davidson Rice; and her brother Harrison Davidson. She is survived by: her children, Jamie Proffitt (James) of London, KY, Charles Burton of Indiana and McKayla Gay (Chase) of London, KY; her brother Herman Rice Jr. of West Virginia; and her grandchildren, Audrina Burton, Brantley Burton, Grayson Bowling, Eden Bowling and Memphis Bowling.
