He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard "Skinny Dock" Preston and Mary Butcher Preston; his wife Judy Mollette Preston; his children, Mary Ethel Preston Mills and Jerry William Preston; and his great grandchild Liam Bowen.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Edward Preston (Beulah) of Slemp, Lahoma Cook (John) of Boons Camp, Leslie Preston of Paintsville and Betty Lowe (Johnathon) of WhiteHouse. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
