It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merzie Lewis of Boons Camp, Kentucky, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Merzie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chrley Pennington and Terri Rowland Pennington; and her husband Frank Lewis. She is survived by: her sister Paulette McKenzie of Flat Gap, KY. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home (807 S Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at the Dennie Pigg Cemetery.
