She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Insco and Vernie Cain; her husband Joseph Black Newman, Jr.; her daughter Jo Ann Mattingly; her sisters, Jean Anderson and Dorothy Toomey; and her brothers-in-law, Jay Anderson and James Toomey.
She is survived by: her sons, James Newman and Wayne Newman; her grandchildren, Christopher Newman, Susan Newman, Eric Newman, Shane Driskill, Lorrie Driskill, Crystal Gillingham, Shar Newman and Teddy Newman; and her sisters, Lana Williams and Edna Cornelius. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
