He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt "Shorty" Greer and Zelma Ann Murphy Greer; and his daughter Tammy Halcomb. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Greer; his children, Dee Fortune, Chrystal Beatty and Desirae Hall; his siblings, Harold Greer (Jane) and Sally Mills; and the mother of his children Diane Vibbert. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
