He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret May Mercer and David August Mercer; his sister Doris Joyce; and his wife Rena Evonne Belcher Mercer. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Mercer Ewing of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Melissa Mercer (Warren Heaton) of Mesa, Arizona and Marsha Mercer of Oakwood, Virginia.; his siblings, Shirley Kamber of Louisville, Michael Mercer (Sandy) of Louisville, Donald Mercer (Diane) of Louisville and Kathy King (Mike) of Louisville; and his nephew Kyle Mercer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
