He was predeceased by: his parents, James Freeman and Roberta Duncan (Moxley Shaffer); his son Douglas Dewayne Duncan; and his siblings, Cecil Duncan, James Duncan, Lewis Ray Chittenden, Randy Chittenden and Pauline Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wyatt; his children, Mitchell Duncan (Terra) of Auburn, KY., Wesley Duncan of Bowling Green, KY., Lucas Montgomery of Lewisburg, KY., Codey Stoll of Bowling Green, KY., Robbie Wyatt (Tracy) of Glasgow, KY., Jayden Stoll of Glasgow, KY., Melissa Decker (Ricky) of Glasgow, KY., Lisa Austin (Joe) of Glasgow, KY., Stacey Suddanth (James) of Glasgow, KY. and Saydie Stoll of Bowling Green, KY.; and his siblings, Peggy Reed, Gail Reed, Billy Duncan, Robert Chittenden and Kenneth Duncan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
