He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jones and Mable Brown Jones; his daughters, Melissa Gayle Jones and Meghan Yung Jones; and his siblings, Rachel Jones, James Earl Jones, Jesse Frank Jones and Wilma Mae Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Baker Jones; his siblings, Jay Willie Jones (Ardina), Donald Norman Jones (Amy), Martha Sue Jones, Linda Faye Stanley (Walker), Lula Mae Jones and Carolyn Ann Reid (late Terry); and his niece Kim McAlister. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Kosair Children's Hospital.
