He was predeceased by: his father Theron Dorris; and his son Barry Dorris. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Dorris (McGehee); his sons, Larry Dorris (Beverly) and Jason Dorris (Tammy); his grandchildren, Tyler Dorris (Jessica), Aaron Dorris (Anna), Joshua Dorris (Sydnee) and Olivia Payne (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Parker, Aubrey, Sawyer, Clay and Jase. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
