He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Hester and Ora Elizabeth Britt Hester; his daughter Amy Kathleen Neurohr; and his siblings, Doris Jean Hester and Raymond Thurman Hester.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Skaggs Hester; his son Justin Hester; and his siblings, Leon Ford Hester, Elaine Sanders and Sue Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
