He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Thomas, Sr. and Ruby Dodson Thomas; his siblings, Mary Jo Cross, Nancy Thomas and John H. Thomas, Jr.; his aunts, Elizabeth Thomas, Rena Thomas and Louise Richards; and his uncle Jeff Thomas.
He is survived by: his brother William F. Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
