He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cromer and Martha Witherspoon Daves; his wife Betty Patricia Daves; and his sister Patsy Gail (Don Crawford). He is survived by: his children, Tracy Daves (Delena) of Bowling Green, Troy Daves (Trina) of Morgantown and Ronda Copeland (John) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Senior Chief Brandon Daves (Deanna) of Petaluma, Casey Daves (Erin) of Yuma, Leah Daves of Tampa, Egan Copeland of Columbus, Georgia and Stella Copeland of Bowling Green; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Heifner (Laura) of Ashley and M'Lisse Elstrom (Robbie) of Bowling Green; his great grandchildren, Cecelia Frances Daves, Elsie Jo Daves and Hunter Edward Daves; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nori Boone, Alaina Ann and Kaius Eric Heifner; and his sister Yvonne Whitfield (Jack) of Madisonville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Calendar Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Calendar Chapel of Rosehill Cemetery (1321 Rose Hill Dr, Owensboro, KY 42303).
