He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Talley and Lera Nichols Talley; and his siblings, Clarence Earl Talley and Mildred Dunning. He is survived by: his wife Nellie "Bea" Talley; his children, Terrill Talley (Pam) and Vickie Talley; his grandsons, Brandon Lyons (Maranda) and Patrick Lyons (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Garrett Lyons, Coltyn Lyons, Savanah Lyons, Payton Lyons and Brody Lyons; and his siblings, Eugene Talley (Anna), Lois Oliver (Ed), Judy Copas, Barbara Cowles and Wanda Cowles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
