He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Kitchens and Edgar Kitchens; his wife Joan Kitchens (Joann); his sisters, Grace Sanderfur and Barbara Gilcrist; and his grandson James Christopher Kitchens.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Kitchens (Betsy) and Judy Kitchens; his siblings, Linda Colovos (Alex) and Larry Kitchens (Barbara); his granddaughters, Brandi "Marie" Regnier (Jim) and Angela Colleen Wilhelm (Brian); his great grandchildren, Grant Regnier (Andréanna), Grace Banfi (Francesco), Anna Regnier, Lauren Regnier, Elisa Wilhelm, Eleanor Wilhelm and Hans Wilhelm; and his great great grandchildren, Leo, Linus, Paul, Clement, Claude and Cecilia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
