He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Meredith and Mazelle Norris Meredeth; his wife Sue Merideth; his daughter Lula Mae Johnson; his stepmother Chloie Howard; and his siblings, Walter Meredith, James Ray Meredith and Joann Young.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carlos Meredith (Risa) of Bowling Green, KY, Margie Barney of Fort Worth, TX and Dorothy Gregory of Fort Worth, TX; his grandson Austin Johnson; and his stepsons, Billy Jones and Bobby Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
