She was predeceased by: her husband Bivion E. Murphy, Jr.; her parents, Hester Hughes and John Hughes; and her siblings, Josephine Greene (Mildred) and William Hughes.

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda; her grandchildren, Emily (David) and Bradley; her great grandchildren, Jackson and Colton; her niece Rebecca; and her nephew Michael.

The family requests that donations be directed to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
