It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Franklin Stokes (Bowling Green, Kentucky), who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marshal and Vashti Stokes; his wife Maxine Stokes; his son John Stokes; and his sister Mary Stokes.
He is survived by: his daughter Jan Casada (Keith); his daughter-in-law Sherry Stokes; his grandchildren, John, Nicole Stokes, Justin Casada (Emily), Alan Casada (Emily) and Jennifer Barth (Heath); his great grandchildren, Hope Barth, Elsie Barth, Eli Casada, Maria Casada, Rosalyn Casada, Dawson Goosetree, McKenzie Taylor and Annie Casada; his sister Martha Hurst (Doyle); and his siblings-in-law, Bea Roy (Jim) and Randy Tomlinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Gideons International or Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
