He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Dale Hood and Betty Jean Gregory Richards; his daughter Cheyenne Hood; his brother Jacob Hood; his grandparents, Elvis J. Gregory and Evelyn M. Trusty Gregory; his cousin Elvis Patrick Eppling; and his uncle Paul E. Gregory.
He is survived by: his fiancée Kimberly Marie Szynalski; his son Joseph Scott Hood Jr.; his brother Jason Ray Gregory (Rachel); and his cousins, Kathleen Marie Witcher and Herman McKinnley Eppling. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
