She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hugh Moore and Henrietta Whitaker Moore; her brother Charles Minor Moore; and her brother-in-law William Adams. She is survived by: her husband Dr. David Allan Buchanan, Sr.; her children, Sale Buchanan Hightower (Crawford), David Allan Buchanan, Jr. (Amy) and Dr. John Whitaker Buchanan (Dee Dee); her grandchildren, Hampton Buchanan Williams (Clay), Caroline Buchanan Bahn (Lucas), Beau Miller Buchanan, Mary Whitaker Buchanan, Zachary Allan Buchanan, Julia McGinley Hightower and Reece Buchanan Hightower; her great grandchildren, Embry Anne Williams and Katherine Deming Williams; her sisters, Ann Moore Pepper (Henry) and Penny Moore Adams; and her siblings-in-law, Shelby Greer Moore and Gary Buchanan (Regina). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
