It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy E. Spinks of Bowling Green, Kentucky, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Simmons and Ersie Spinks Simmons; her son Dennis Simmons; and her siblings, Roy Basham, Jeffery Simmons, Faye Lancaster and Alta Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, William Basham (Randy Allen), Charles Spinks, Melodie Phelps and Donna Basham Canler (Stephen); her grandchildren, Tamecka Phelps (Joshua Lewis) and Chase Phelps (Lindsey Rinquette); and her siblings, Judy Simmons, Opal Cardwell (Carlos) and Johnny Simmons.
