He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Shoemake (Nicklaus); his daughters, Melissa Cox (Jason) and Laura Cox (Jeff); his siblings, Debbie Collins, Diane Wharton (John), Jimmie Shoemake (Melinda) and Joe Shoemake (Gina); and his grandchildren, Braxton Cox (Lauren), Ann-Riley Cox and Emersyn Cox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
