He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Atkinson and Margaret Davenport Humes; his brother Danny Atkinson; and his stepfather Bert Humes. He is survived by: his wife Nora Welch Atkinson; his sons, Charles Atkinson, Larry Atkinson, Jr. (Janay) and Jeremy Atkinson (Lisa); his grandchildren, Hannah Atkinson, Bradley Atkinson, Rachel Atkinson, Chesney Atkinson, Charlie Atkinson, Evan Atkinson, Easton Atkinson, Sawyer Atkinson, Rye Atkinson, Matilda Atkinson, Walker Atkinson, Dallie Atkinson and Ruby Atkinson; and his sisters, Terry Henderson (Frankie), Tammy Vineyard, Penny Edwards (Jeff), Pat, Bonnie Conlon, Chris and Jill Willis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.
