He was predeceased by: his parent Ellis Reed; his wife Annie Ruth Cornelius Brashear; his brothers, Edgar (late Jean), Charles (late Pauline), John (late Eva) and Kenneth; and his grandson Tony Brashear.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Thompson Brashear of Bowling Green, Larry W. Brashear, Jr. (Ellyn) of White House, TN and Gerald Brashear (Brenda) of Franklin, KY; his grandchildren, Kaci Thompson, Jessica Thompson (Demond), Chris Brashear (Christy), Danil Kemp, Nikki Stewart, Jeff Brashear (Victoria) and Kelli Brashear Mallory; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Cwynn, Victoria, Braxdon, Lenix, Kate, Taylor, Addison, Aaliyah, Kayden, Connor, Bentley, Myles, Kainnan and Jorjia; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Brashear (late Kenneth). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
