He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Rippy and Fannie Thornton Rippy. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Scott, Jeremy (Kathy) and Jon Rippy (Victoria); his grandchildren, Maura Wilkinson (Brennan) of Alvaton, Kentucky, Emma of Alvaton, Kentucky, Kate of Alvaton, Kentucky, Karlee of Alvaton, Kentucky, Jack of Alvaton, Kentucky, Jameson of Alvaton, Kentucky and Baylor Rippy of Alvaton, Kentucky; and his great grandchildren, Parker and Reese Wilkinson. He is also survived by Several nieces and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Martha's Chapel. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
