She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie B. Keown Phelps Lindsey and Clyde Lindsey; her siblings, Bobby Lindsey and Betty Lindsey Dalton; her son-in-law Stephen Cleary; and her siblings-in-law, Landon Dalton, Jerry Lawson and Jean Lindsey.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Cary Appling; her daughters, Ginger Cleary and Amy Ground (Charles); her grandchildren, Morgan Cleary (Chelsea), Blake Cleary, Dalton Ground and Riley Sue Ground; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Appling (Heather), Alvin Appling (Joan), Timothy Appling, Jane Pearson (Carrol), Sona Ross (Roger), Mollie Wade (Stephen) and Gayle Tucker (Garry). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
