With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley Bonta (Bowling Green, Kentucky). Shirley, born on December 29, 1944 in Troy, Ohio, passed away on August 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Shirley for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Geneva Dempsey and Edward Dempsey. She is survived by: her siblings, John Dempsey, Sue Braddy, Leslie Dempsey and Tom Dempsey (Blanche); her daughter Theresa Flynt (Natalie); her granddaughter Chandler Flynt (Donavon Alderson); her niece Anita Pollock; and her nephew Jason Sparks. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42104).
