She is survived by: her son Rodney Cottrell (Suzanne); her sister Elizabeth Herstek (Ray); her grandchildren, Christopher Young, Jessica Thomas (Craig) and Alex Young (Meagan); and her great grandchildren, Lucas and Chloe Young.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Velma's memory may be made to Drakesboro United Methodist Church.
